This blog is collection of things I found on the internet (food, architecture, photography and links that need to be shared) and some things I made. For more things I made, check my photography project out: carodf.tumblr.com.

Community’s Beetlejuice Easter Egg
In episode 3.05 of Community, Beetlejuice appears in the background after Annie mentions his name. Of course, it takes saying his name three times for him to appear. The other two times occur in episode 1.16 - “bitter, butter, Beetlejuice”, and 2.8 “turquoise Beetlejuice numbers”.
Naturally, a show that puts that much thought into a joke that could easily go unnoticed would get put on hold.

The recipe was adapted from both the Cupcake Bible and from this recipe. I made some changes though, so here’s my version!1 package (18 ounces) white cake mix3 egg whites 1 cup of water 1/3 cup, plus 1/4+a bit cup of frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed 2 tablespoons canola oilneon pink food coloring4 cups sifted powdered sugar 1/3 cup butter, softened Lemonheads candiesPreheat oven to 350. Line muffin cups with paper cupcake liners. I ended up with about 21 cupcakes.Beat cake mix, egg whites, water, 1/3 cup concentrate, oil, and 8 drops of food coloring in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. If you want the cupcakes to be more or less intensely pink, adjust the amount of food coloring accordingly. Spoon about 1/4 cup batter into each cup of prepared cupcake tin.Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting. For the frosting, beat sugar, butter, and 1/4 cup concentrate in medium bowl with mixer at medium speed. I added a little more than 1/4 cup to make the frosting more of an intense flavor, but 1/4 is enough to give it the lemony taste. Beat in 12 drops of food coloring. This will make the frosting a very pink lemonade-pink, but again, if you want the frosting to be more or less intensely colored, adjust the amount. The frosting will be very thick, so add a splash of your choice of milk, lemonade, lemon juice, or some of the remaining melted concentrate. When frosting is completely mixed, spoon it into a pastry bag or, failing that, a ziploc bag with a small snip in the corner. Frost cupcakes, making sure that they are in fact completely cool so as to avoid frosting drippage. Add Lemonhead candies as desired.Try the first one. Explode from happiness.

1 package (18 ounces) white cake mix
3 egg whites
1 cup of water
1/3 cup, plus 1/4+a bit cup of frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
2 tablespoons canola oil
neon pink food coloring
4 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
Lemonheads candies

Preheat oven to 350. Line muffin cups with paper cupcake liners. I ended up with about 21 cupcakes.

Beat cake mix, egg whites, water, 1/3 cup concentrate, oil, and 8 drops of food coloring in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes.
